About OC Tech Innovations

We got tired of being
one of four vendors.

OC Tech started in Irvine in 2017. The pattern that led to it was simple enough: businesses had an IT company, a camera installer, someone for compliance, and nobody responsible for how those three fit together. The gaps between them were where the actual problems lived.

Why We Work This Way

The problem was never
any one vendor.

Each company we saw doing part of a client's technology was doing their part properly. The IT provider kept the network up. The installer put the cameras in. The consultant wrote the policy. Nobody was cutting corners.

But the camera recorder sat on the same network as the accounting computers, because that was not the installer's decision and the IT company never saw the quote. The policy described backups that had never been restored from, because the consultant asked whether backups ran and was told yes. Every one of those problems lived in the space between two contracts, which meant it was nobody's job until it became everyone's emergency.

So we built the company to hold all of it. Not because doing four things is impressive, but because the seams are where businesses get hurt.

How We Work

Six things that describe us
better than adjectives would.

We look before we quote

A price given over the phone is a guess, and guesses get revised upward once someone sees the environment. We assess first, tell you what we found, and quote against that. You keep the assessment either way.

We explain rather than announce

You should not need a technical background to understand what we are recommending, what it costs, or what the trade-off is. If we cannot explain why something matters in plain language, that is usually a sign we have not thought it through properly.

We fix the dangerous things first

Not the visible things. The first month is usually unglamorous work: backups that were never tested, accounts belonging to people who left, equipment running old firmware. None of it is exciting and all of it matters more than a new dashboard.

We tell you when the answer is cheaper

Sometimes the fix is a setting rather than a replacement, or a server should stay where it is, or the framework you were told you need does not apply. Saying so costs us the larger job and is the reason clients stay.

We stay after it goes live

A project is not finished because it works on the day. We document it, support the transition, and are still the people you call about it in two years. Every quarter we sit down and go through what broke, what it cost, and what is coming.

We say when we are the wrong fit

If price is the only variable, or you want documentation without the controls under it, or break-fix genuinely suits your business, we will say so in the first conversation. Finding that out in month three helps nobody.

The Company

Where we are
and what we hold.

We are based on Rockfield Boulevard in Irvine and have been since 2017. Our engineers work across Orange County in person, and our clients are spread across the country. Some of them have staff working in more than 15 countries, which the managed side of the work travels with.

We are deliberately not a large firm. It means the person who assessed your environment is someone you will speak to again, and it means we turn down work that we are not the right people for.

The Name

Why "technology concierge".

A concierge does not hand you a directory and wish you luck. You bring the request and they take it from there, including the parts that are not strictly theirs. That is the difference between us and a service catalog you have to assemble yourself, and it is the reason the phrase stuck.

In practice it means you describe the problem in your own words. Working out whether it is a network issue, a licensing issue, a camera issue, or a vendor issue is our job, not something you should have to diagnose before you are allowed to ask.

Tell us what is not working.
We will help you map out the next step.

A free technology assessment shows you what you are actually running and where the gaps are. You keep the findings whether or not you hire us. No obligation, no sales sequence.
